MAP (Minimum Advertised Price)

Set a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) per SKU so repricing never advertises below your supplier's floor. Learn the higher-floor-wins rule, the strategy toggle that enforces it, and how to set MAP in the app, by bulk upload or via integration.

MAP — Minimum Advertised Price

Some suppliers require you not to advertise below a set price. Flashpricer's MAP feature lets you store that floor per SKU and have repricing respect it — so you stay compliant with supplier agreements while still optimizing profit.

Per-SKU floorStrategy-controlledUI · bulk · integration

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) is the lowest price you're allowed to advertise a product for. Add a MAP to a SKU in Flashpricer, and — when enabled in the strategy — repricing will never go below it.

The rule: the higher floor wins

When MAP is enforced, Flashpricer uses the higher of your minimum price and the MAP as the effective floor for that SKU:

MAP above your min
MAP
$100
Your min
$90
Floor $100MAP wins — won't advertise below
MAP below your min
MAP
$80
Your min
$85
Floor $85Your min wins — keeps your margin
!

MAP even beats your max. If a MAP is higher than the max price you set, the MAP still wins — the item is priced at the MAP rather than your (lower) max.

Turn it on in your strategy

MAP is only enforced by repricing when the strategy allows it. In your strategy's min/max settings, switch on:

Do not reprice below Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) if provided
i

This toggle lives on your Amazon strategy min/max settings. Note: the Products grid may display the MAP as the floor even when the toggle is off — but repricing only truly respects the MAP when this switch is on.

Setting a MAP

You can set a MAP three ways:

In the app (per item)

In the Cost/Min/Max column, click the MAP icon and enter the price in the popover. (The icon shows when repricing is enabled for the SKU.)

Set a minimum advertised price (MAP):
$100.00

Bulk upload

Upload a CSV with a MAP Price column (Flashpricer auto-matches headers like MAP or map price) to set many SKUs at once. See the Listings page for the bulk-upload flow.

Integration

Include a MAP column in your integration feed (hosted CSV, FTP or Google Sheets) to keep MAP in sync automatically.

Removing a MAP

  • ·In the app — open the MAP popover and clear the value.
  • ·Bulk upload or integration — leave the MAP cell blank to remove the existing MAP.
!

Only a blank cell clears a MAP. A 0 is rejected as invalid — it won't remove the MAP.

Good to know

  • ·MAP is a floor, not a pushed price. Setting a MAP doesn't send a price to the marketplace — it raises the minimum your repricer is allowed to reach.
  • ·You can see it everywhere. When a MAP is the active floor, the min shows as Min Price (MAP) in the grid, and MAP is included in your CSV export (in the MAP column).
  • ·Below your min? A MAP lower than your minimum has no effect — your minimum already covers it.

Frequently asked

Does setting a MAP change my live price?
No — MAP only raises your repricing floor. Your live price changes on the next reprice, and it simply won't go below the MAP when the strategy toggle is on.
My MAP isn't being respected — why?
Make sure the strategy toggle "Do not reprice below Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) if provided" is switched on. Without it, repricing ignores the MAP even though the grid may display it.
What if the MAP is above my max price?
The MAP still wins — the item is priced at the MAP rather than your lower max.
How do I clear MAP for lots of SKUs?
Upload a CSV (or update your integration feed) with the MAP cell left blank for those SKUs — a blank clears it. Remember a 0 is rejected, not treated as a clear.
Stay MAP-compliant

Add MAP prices from the Cost/Min/Max column on the Products page, and switch on the MAP rule in your strategy. Questions? Email success@flashpricer.com.
