Continually Decrease Until the Listing Is Published
When a marketplace stops distributing your offer, the "When listing is unpublished" rule can step your price down at a set interval until the listing goes live again — never below your minimum.
Sometimes a marketplace stops distributing your offer altogether — the listing is there, but nobody can buy it from you. Flashpricer's When listing is unpublished rule decides what your price does in the meantime, including an option that steps the price down at a fixed interval until the listing goes live again.
An unpublished listing earns nothing, and your regular repricing rules aren't designed for it — there's no Buy Box to chase and often no competitor data to react to. The When listing is unpublished rule fills that gap, and its continually decrease until published option actively works the price down until the marketplace starts distributing your offer again.
Where to find it
Go to Strategies and edit (or create) a strategy. Unlike the Buy Box rules, this one is available whatever your Competition setting is.
The toggle is off by default — nothing happens until you switch it on. Existing strategies keep behaving exactly as before until you enable it.
Choose continually decrease until published from the dropdown, then set how much to subtract and how often.

The two settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Subtract | How much comes off the price at each step, as a fixed $ amount or a % of the current price. Defaults to $0.05. |
| Interval | How long Flashpricer waits between two drops. Pick 20, 30, 60, 90, 180, 360 or 720 minutes. Defaults to 60. |
How a descent plays out
With a $0.05 step every 60 minutes, starting at $18.99 with a minimum of $18.84:
If the listing is published again at any point, the rule stops applying on the next evaluation and your normal repricing rules take back over.
Where it sits among your other rules
When several situations apply at once, Flashpricer follows a fixed order. The unpublished rule outranks the Buy Box rules, because working the price of an offer nobody can see makes less sense than the other way round — but out of stock still comes first.
Out of stock wins. If the item has no stock, its own out-of-stock rule applies instead — there's no point lowering a price you can't fulfil. The unpublished rule resumes as soon as stock is back.
What keeps it under control
- ·Your minimum price is a hard floor. Once the price reaches your minimum, the descent stops. If your strategy also has do not reprice below MAP price enabled and the item carries a MAP price, the higher of the two is the floor.
- ·One drop per interval, no catching up. If several intervals pass without an evaluation, Flashpricer applies a single step and restarts the clock rather than chaining missed drops together.
- ·The clock is anchored on the last real drop, so other events waking the item up in between neither shorten nor extend the wait.
- ·It runs on its own. An unpublished listing generates almost no marketplace events, so Flashpricer checks every few minutes for items whose interval has elapsed and wakes them up — the descent keeps its rhythm on a completely quiet listing.
- ·
addandsubtractneed a competitor. If you pick one of those two and there's no competitor offer to anchor to, Flashpricer falls back to your when there is no competition rule.continually decrease until publishedhas no such dependency — it works from your own price.
Price isn't always the cause. A listing can be unpublished for reasons a lower price will never fix — a suspended ASIN, a compliance issue, missing content. Pair this rule with a look at your marketplace's listing-health report, and keep the step small so you don't hand away margin chasing a problem that lives elsewhere.
