Utility tools: orgs, channels & health check

A few small helper tools the assistant uses to get its bearings — which account you're in, which sales channels are connected, and a simple echo to confirm the connection is alive. You rarely call these directly, but they're handy to know about.

Helpers, scoped to you. None of these change anything. The assistant uses them behind the scenes to orient itself — pick the right organization, resolve your channels — and to test the link. They only ever see your organization's data.

Get oriented

list-my-organizationsReadno scope needed

Lists the organizations you belong to, with their IDs and names. If you're part of more than one account, this is how the assistant knows which one to work in (and can switch between them).

Ask"Which organizations can I access?"
list-sales-channelsReadchannels · view

Lists your active sales channels (Amazon, Walmart, and so on), each with its id, name, type, marketplace account id and currency. Only active, connected channels are returned.

Why it matters: the assistant uses these channel ids to scope other tools (search, exports, bulk updates) to a specific marketplace.
Ask"What sales channels do I have connected?"

Test the connection

echoUtilityno scope needed

Returns whatever message you send it — a simple way to confirm the MCP connection is alive and responding.

Ask"Ping the Flashpricer MCP."

Tips

  • You rarely ask for these directly. The assistant calls them on its own to figure out your org and channels before running the tool you actually asked for.
  • Multiple accounts? Say "switch to my other organization" and the assistant uses list-my-organizations to move context.
  • Connection acting up? "Is the MCP working?" runs a quick echo to check.
