Products & items: the read tools
The read-only MCP tools for your Products & items — search, look up an item, and review its repricing history — with the permission each needs and an example of what to ask.
Once you've connected an AI assistant to Flashpricer, it can read your catalog in plain language — search items, look one up, and review its repricing history. Here are the five read-only tools for Products & items.

All read-only, all scoped to you. None of these tools change anything. They need the Products · view permission and only ever see your organization's data. Just ask in your own words — the assistant picks the right tool for you.
Look things up
Some tools need the item's Flashpricer ID (item_…). If you only have a SKU or ASIN, the assistant looks it up first with fetch-product or search-items — you don't have to.
search-itemsReadproducts · viewSearches your repricing-enabled items with filters, sorting and pagination. Returns lightweight item data plus a searchId you can reuse in a follow-up.

search-items accepts these filters. You never type the codes yourself — just describe what you want and the assistant maps it — but here's the full set for reference:
Tips for better answers
- Just describe it. You never need tool names or filter codes — say "show my out-of-stock FBA items with no strategy" and the assistant maps it to the right tool and filters.
- Reuse a search.
search-itemsreturns asearchId; a follow-up like "now show the history for the first one" reuses it — no re-typing. - Chain naturally. "Find my negative-profit items, then show me the recent price changes on the top one" works in one flow.
