Sales & orders: the MCP tools
The read-only MCP tools for your sales and orders — revenue, profit and units per item, and aggregated across a search — with the permission each needs and example prompts.
Once you've connected an AI assistant to Flashpricer, it can pull your sales and order data in plain language — revenue, profit, fees and units for a single item, or aggregated across your whole catalog. Here are the three read-only Sales & orders tools.
Not connected yet? Start with Connect an AI assistant to Flashpricer (MCP). See also Products & items: the read tools.
All read-only, all scoped to you. None of these tools change anything. They need the Orders · view permission and only ever see your organization's data. Just ask in your own words — the assistant picks the right tool for you.
Sales for one item
Both single-item tools need the item's Flashpricer ID (item_…). If you only have a SKU or ASIN, the assistant looks it up first — you don't have to.
item-ordersReadorders · viewOrders for one item with a summary of revenue, profit, fees, COGS and units sold over a date range, plus a paginated order list.
fromDate / toDate (default last 30 days) · page · limit (max 200).item-order-historyReadorders · viewThe raw order history for an item within a date range — the individual orders rather than a summary.
fromDate / toDate (default last 7 days).Sales across your catalog
search-items-ordersReadorders · viewAggregated sales (revenue, profit, fees, COGS, units sold) for a whole set of items at once. Pass a searchId from search-items, or the same search parameters directly.
aggregate: true gives a single global summary with no per-item breakdown — great for totals. Results are paginated — the assistant checks metadata.totalItemsMatching, hasMore and totalPages to fetch everything when needed.Tips for better answers
- Just describe it. You never need tool names — say "how did my catalog sell last month?" and the assistant picks the aggregated view.
- Reuse a search. Filter your catalog with a
search-itemsquery, then ask "now show me the sales for those" — the assistant reuses the same set via itssearchId. - Ask for totals, not lists. For big questions the assistant uses aggregate mode — a quick summary instead of thousands of order rows.
- Set the window. Add a period like "in Q1" or "the last 7 days" and the assistant applies the right date range.
Open your connected assistant and ask "Total revenue and units sold across my FBA items last month." Questions about the MCP tools? Reach us at success@flashpricer.com.
