Amazon Business Repricing: How to Set B2B Pricing Strategies and Quantity Discounts on Amazon
Set up a dedicated Amazon Business (B2B) repricing strategy in Flashpricer — separate from B2C, with competition-based or B2C-based pricing and tiered bulk quantity discounts.
Flashpricer gives you a dedicated Amazon Business (B2B) repricing strategy — completely separate from your standard consumer (B2C) strategy. Compete for the B2B Buy Box, offer tiered bulk discounts, and keep your B2B pricing rules fully independent from retail.
This guide explains how Amazon Business repricing works in Flashpricer, how to set it up, and how to use both competition-based and B2C price-based modes — plus tiered quantity pricing — to get the most out of your B2B listings.
What is Amazon Business repricing?
Amazon Business is a separate marketplace for business buyers — procurement teams, resellers, agencies, institutions — who often buy in bulk. On Amazon Business you can set prices that differ from your consumer prices, offer tiered bulk discounts, and compete for a dedicated B2B Buy Box.
Amazon Business repricing automatically adjusts your B2B prices in real time — based either on B2B competition or on a relationship to your B2C price. Flashpricer gives every seller a purpose-built Amazon Business strategy — separate from standard Amazon and Walmart strategies — with its own rules, competition targeting and quantity-discount configuration.
Why B2B pricing is managed separately from B2C
Amazon's hard rule: a B2B price can never be higher than the B2C price for the same listing (this also applies to quantity-tier pricing). So your B2B price always has a ceiling tied to your consumer price — while business buyers still expect it to sit meaningfully below.
If you used a single strategy for both, any change made to win the consumer Buy Box could push your B2B price out of compliance or erode your B2B margin. A separate Amazon Business strategy removes that risk: your B2B price gets its own logic, its own min/max floors and its own competition rules — fully decoupled from your consumer strategy.
The two modes of B2B repricing
Choose one Target per Amazon Business strategy:
Both modes support Amazon Business Quantity Pricing — automatic tiered bulk discounts for larger orders.
Step 1 — Create an Amazon Business strategy
Go to Strategies and click Create Strategy. Give it a Strategy name (e.g. Amazon Business).
Under Marketplace, click the Amazon Business logo (the orange Amazon Business mark). Then choose your Region (e.g. United States).
Under Type of selling, pick Resellers or Private Label / Brand Owner, then click Continue with your strategy settings.
This strategy operates entirely separately from any standard Amazon or Walmart strategy. Assigning it to a listing won't affect how your consumer prices are managed. (Amazon Business repricing is a subscription feature — if it's not on your plan you'll see a Subscribe badge on the logo.)
Step 2 — Competition-based B2B repricing
With Competition based selected, Flashpricer competes against other B2B sellers on the same ASIN — the same logic as standard Amazon repricing, but exclusively within Amazon Business. You'll configure the usual rule set:
- 1Main repricing strategy — match the B2B Buy Box price, or undercut it by a fixed $ or %.
- 2When buybox is suppressed — a fallback when there's no active B2B Buy Box (e.g. compete against the lowest B2B price and subtract $1).
- 3When you've acquired the buy box — options to raise your price and increase profit while you hold it.
- 4When your item is out of stock — optionally match the B2B Buy Box to keep listing visibility.
The B2B Price vs B2C Price Rule. Because a B2B price can't exceed B2C, competition-based strategies include this dedicated rule. Set it to subtract $2, for example: if the calculation would produce a B2B price higher than your B2C price, Flashpricer sets it to B2C minus $2 instead. Your minimum price is always applied afterward — your B2B offer price never goes below your floor. (Quantity tiers have their own floor, which can optionally be removed — see Step 4.)
Step 3 — B2C price-based B2B repricing
With B2C price based selected, Flashpricer doesn't monitor B2B competition — it derives your B2B price from your current B2C price using a formula you define:
- 1Choose subtract (recommended — the B2B price must be ≤ B2C).
- 2Select % for a percentage discount or $ for a fixed amount.
- 3Enter the amount — e.g.
2with % means B2B = B2C minus 2%.
Flashpricer shows a live plain-English confirmation as you type:
This is the simplest way to stay compliant with Amazon's B2B rule while keeping a consistent margin advantage — ideal for large catalogs where monitoring B2B competition item-by-item isn't practical.
Step 4 — Amazon Business Quantity Pricing (bulk discounts)
Quantity pricing offers a lower per-unit price to buyers who purchase more units in a single order. Flashpricer configures these tiers directly in your B2B strategy, and they apply in both modes.
Toggle Enable quantity pricing on, pick a Discount type — Percent discount (%) or Fixed discount ($) — then Add Tier for each discount level. Each tier has a Minimum Quantity and a Discount, with a live Preview of the per-unit price:
| Minimum Quantity | Discount (%) | Preview | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 3 | $97.00 /unit | 🗑 |
| 5 | 5 | $95.00 /unit | 🗑 |
| 10 | 7 | $93.00 /unit | 🗑 |
- ·Tiers are calculated from your B2B base price — the price Flashpricer sets after repricing (the repriced B2B price in competition mode, or the B2C-derived price in B2C mode) — not your B2C price.
- ·Percent or fixed. A percent tier takes a percentage off the base price (5 → 5% off); a fixed tier subtracts an absolute amount (5 → $5 off). The discount type applies to all tiers of the strategy.
- ·Up to 5 tiers. Add up to five tiers per strategy — Amazon's own limit; remove any with the trash icon.
- ·Your maximum price still applies. A tier resolving above your maximum price is skipped too.
- ·Your MAP price caps tiers. If the strategy has Do not reprice below Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) on and the item has a MAP, tiers below it are skipped as well.
- ·Per-item overrides. You can set different tiers on a single listing from the product's Quantity Pricing tab — item-level tiers replace the strategy's for that item, while still following the strategy's floor settings.
Going below your minimum price (opt-in)
By default the floor above is absolute: a tier under your minimum never reaches Amazon. If you deliberately want aggressive bulk pricing, each Amazon Business strategy carries an opt-in in its Minimum / Maximum pricing section — off by default, and to be used knowingly:
- 1Allow quantity discounts to price items below the minimum price — quantity tiers are no longer capped by your minimum. Bulk orders can then be sold below your minimum price, and below your cost, with the loss multiplied by the ordered quantity. It applies to every item using the strategy.
- 2Also allow quantity tiers to price items below your MAP price — a second checkbox, nested under the first, that additionally removes the MAP floor from quantity tiers.
Saving a strategy with the first option newly enabled asks you to confirm in a blocking dialog, and the strategy is then flagged with a red Below-min quantity discounts badge in your strategies list — so the setting is never invisible.
What still protects you. Even with the safety off: a hard floor of $0.01 (a tier price can never be zero or negative), your maximum price, and — unless you tick the nested MAP option — your MAP price. The opt-in lifts floors on quantity tiers only: your B2B offer price itself is never published below your minimum.

Step 5 — View your Amazon Business listings
Amazon Business listings appear in a dedicated Amazon Business tab on the Products page, separate from your standard Amazon listings. The tab shows up as soon as you have an Amazon sales channel connected.
- ·It shows the same core columns as the standard view — Strategy, Cost/Min/Max, Current price, Profit, Competition, Sales (today) — but reflects B2B pricing data.
- ·The performance summary at the top (Revenue, Profit Margin, Units Sold) reflects your Amazon Business channel while you're on this tab, for a standalone view of B2B health.
- ·Open a listing and go to its Quantity Pricing tab to preview each tier's final per-unit price. Tiers that would be dropped are labelled below min — will be skipped or below MAP — will be skipped, and tiers under your cost are flagged below cost.
