What is the Yo-Yo Price Lift?

The Yo-Yo Price Lift (a.k.a. Spiral-Up) is a scheduled, temporary price bounce. On the interval you pick, Flashpricer jumps your listing to a target price, holds it there for a set time, then hands control back to your regular repricing strategy. The cycle repeats automatically until you turn it off — nudging the market price upward over time.

How it works

Each cycle runs the same loop:

1Jump to target2Hold for Y min3Resume base strategy4Wait for the interval↺ repeats

Repeated over time, those short lifts can ratchet the whole market price upward — the "spiral-up":

Price over timetime →
Listing priceScheduled liftBaseline drifts up as competitors follow your anchor.

Why use it

Break the race to the bottomInterrupt downward spirals and encourage rivals to follow your higher anchor price.
Probe demand elasticityTest whether shoppers — and competitors — will tolerate a higher price.
Lift average selling priceSmall, repeated upward nudges compound into healthier margins.
Stay algorithm-friendlyLifts are short enough to protect Buy Box share, long enough to move the price graph.

Good to know

  • ·A minimum price is required. Without a min price on the SKU, the lift is skipped for that item.
  • ·Your guardrails still hold. A lift is clamped to your min and max — it never jumps outside those bounds.
  • ·Hold ≤ half the interval. The "Stay at the price for" duration can't be more than 50% of your "Every" interval.
  • ·First lift timing. The first lift fires one full interval after you save — so with Every = 60, expect it about an hour later.
  • ·Standard strategies only. The Yo-Yo Price Lift is available on regular Amazon and Walmart strategies, not on Amazon Business (B2B).

Frequently asked

Will the lift lose me the Buy Box?
Lifts are meant to be short relative to the interval, which helps protect Buy Box share while still nudging the market price. Use a shorter hold (closer to 5 minutes) to be more conservative, or a longer one to push harder.
Can the lift push my price below my minimum or above my maximum?
No. Every lift is clamped to your min and max. If a target would land outside those bounds, it's brought back inside.
How soon does the first lift happen?
One full interval after you save. The shortest interval is 60 minutes, so the earliest a first lift can fire is about an hour after saving.
Why don't I see the Yo-Yo Price Lift option?
It's part of the Growth plan and higher, and it isn't available on Amazon Business (B2B) strategies. On lower plans the section appears greyed out with an upgrade prompt.
