Updating Walmart WFS fees

Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) charges a fulfillment fee based on your product's weight and size. Flashpricer estimates that fee for each WFS listing, builds it into your profit and minimum price, and lets you fine-tune it — by entering package details or overriding the amount outright.

Weight & size basedFeeds profit & min pricePer-item & bulk edits

An accurate WFS fee matters: it's subtracted from your profit on every price and built into your minimum price, so a wrong fee can push your prices too low. This guide covers where to edit it, how Flashpricer decides which value to use, and how to update many items at once.

Where to edit it

On the Products page, hover the Profit column to open the fee breakdown, then click the pencil next to WFS Shipping Fee:

Two ways to set the fee

The Update WFS fees for the item modal gives you two options — switch between them at the top:

Option 1 — Fill in the package information

Enter the package Length, Width and Height in inches, and the Unit weight in pounds. Flashpricer recalculates the WFS fee live as you type. Tick any Additional product details that apply (leave them unticked if none do):

  • ·Your item is an article of clothing. — adds Walmart's apparel surcharge (+$0.50).
  • ·Your item is or contains a chemical, aerosol, pesticide or battery. — adds the dangerous-goods surcharge (+$0.50).

Option 2 — Override the fee amount

Switch to Override the fee amount and type the exact Fulfillment fee amount in dollars. This is the strongest setting — it's used as-is, skipping the weight/size calculation entirely. Click Save changes either way.

How Flashpricer picks the fee

For each WFS listing, Flashpricer uses the first of these that's available:

1Your fee overrideThe exact amount you type in "Override the fee amount" — used as-is.Wins
2Your package weight + dimensionsComputed from the length/width/height and weight you enter.
3Walmart item-report weightThe shipping weight Walmart reports for the listing (no dimensions).
41 lb defaultUsed when no weight is available anywhere.

Your entries stick until you change them — an override or package details you set stay in place and keep winning over Walmart's reported weight on future syncs.

What goes into the calculation

When Flashpricer computes the fee from weight and size, it follows Walmart's WFS schedule:

  • ·Dimensional weightlength × width × height ÷ 139. Flashpricer bills the greater of your actual weight and this dimensional weight.
  • ·Packaging — adds 0.25 lb, then rounds up to the next whole pound.
  • ·Weight tiers — the rate steps up with the rounded weight (heavier items cost more, with per-pound increments above a few pounds).
  • ·Surcharges — apparel (+$0.50), dangerous goods (+$0.50), items under $10 (+$1.00), and oversize dimensions add extra.

Bulk-update weight & dimensions

To set package weight and dimensions for many items at once, upload a CSV. These are mapped columns — name them however you like, then match them to the right field during upload:

  • ·SKU (required) and Sales Channel ID (required).
  • ·Shipping Package Weight, Shipping Package Length, Shipping Package Width, Shipping Package Height — plus at least one of these.
  • ·Dimensions go together — provide length, width and height as a set; a partial set errors ("All parcel dimensions must be provided together"), and each must be greater than 0.
  • ·Leave a cell blank to clear that value.

To set an exact fee override (rather than weight/size), use the per-item Override the fee amount option in the modal above.

When the fee can't be calculated

If a WFS item has no weight anywhere, Flashpricer can't compute the fee — and with no fee, it can't work out your min/max, so repricing is blocked for that item. You'll see: "Missing shipping weight: unable to calculate WFS fees and profit. Min/max cannot be determined, which blocks repricing." Fix it by entering a weight (or a fee override) in the modal.

Frequently asked

Which value wins if I set several?
A fee override always wins. If there's no override, Flashpricer computes from your package weight + dimensions, then from Walmart's reported weight, and finally defaults to 1 lb.
Do the checkboxes change the fee?
Yes — article of clothing and chemical/aerosol/pesticide/battery each add a $0.50 surcharge, matching Walmart's apparel and dangerous-goods fees.
Why is an item blocked from repricing?
A WFS item with no shipping weight can't have its fee (and therefore its min/max) calculated. Enter a weight or a fee override to unblock it.
Can I update many items at once?
Yes — bulk-upload a CSV to set package weight and dimensions across many SKUs (map the columns during upload). For an exact fee override, use the per-item modal.
